Surely Arsenal won’t get BOTH Higuain AND Rooney? 5

Posted on June 18, 2013 by admin

Arsenal have been linked with a lot of strikers so far this summer, let alone the amount of players we have been linked with in total and in fact it is actually quite ridiculous that we are only half way through June. In fact with the amount of players we have been linked with so far this silly season, we could have bought around 400 million worth of players, probably even more but two of the biggest names (and arguably fees) on that long list is Higuain and Rooney and if reports are deemed to be true Arsenal seem to be in negotiations with both of them.

Higuain could sign for Arsenal next week after £25m bid 16

It appears that Arsene Wenger has made his mind up and is determined to sign Gonzalo Higuain for Arsenal. The Frenchman is set to abandon his usual way of eking out every morsel of value in his transfer dealings, by meeting the £25 million valuation put on Higuain by his club Real Madrid.

According to Marca, The Spanish giants are sick of selling low and buying high, so this offer will put us firmly in the driving seat in the race for the Argentinean international. Madrid know that Higuain wants to go and they would probably sell him for less, but that would mean Arsenal haggling and counter haggling with Juventus and we could end up losing him and having to go back for somebody else.

Higuain or Jovetic? Make your mind up Arsenal 17

These two Arsenal transfer sagas seem to be everlasting, with the rumours beginning long before the end of the season, which suggests to me there is a lot of truth in the speculation. It seems Arsenal and Juventus are in the race, in which the likely scenarios are both clubs come away with one player each, or Juventus takes them both, because I can’t see Arsenal signing both Jovetic and Higuain. Well in fact I can’t see us signing either, nor Rooney for that matter, but let’s not get into that and instead look at who I think would be better for Arsenal.

Have Juventus got it in for Arsenal? 4

Juventus have halted Arsenal’s transfer plans yet again. This time they have stolen Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain from us.

Reports have been circling around the press for the last week that Arsenal had Higuain in the bag and it was just up to the player to agree the deal. Arsenal had apparently had a bid worth around £20 Million accepted from Real Madrid and it was all a done deal.

Juventus have now popped in and offered a tiny bit more than Arsenal and their offer was made the priority. Higuain himself has said that he would prefer a move to Juventus showing that once again Arsenal are victims of their own success (joke).

Juventus could wreck Arsenal’s transfer plans 1

Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal board will be hoping to get their transfer business done and dusted nice and early this summer, in order to avoid any panic buying towards the closing of the window. It will also give the Frenchman abd his coaching staff plenty of time to get the new players and the current squad settled in and working well together as a team.

The Italian champions Juventus, however, are making things difficult and threatening to seriously undermine Wenger’s plans. This may be punishment for sending Nicklas Bendtner to Turin, so I suppose you cannot blame them, but they are being linked with both of the strikers that Wenger apparently want. They may only want either Stevan Jovetic or Gonzalo Higuain, but the club’s general director has mentioned both publicly.

£19m Higuain to be first Arsenal transfer? 7

The internet and newspapers are full of transfer rumours at the minute, which is normal at the end of the season. Arsenal are always linked with a multitude of possible transfer targets and there are usually lots of rumours about who will leave the club as well.

This summer promises to be a little different for Arsenal fans. For once, we can look at the transfer window without a cold feeling of dread, but instead can look forward to some signings that will give us hope for next season. The Real Madrid and Argentina striker Gonzalo Higuain is certainly of that calibre and it is beginning to llok like he really could be at the Emirates next season.

Have Arsenal sealed the deal for prolific striker? 7

It looks as though Arsenal are in for a busy day as it is now being reported in Spain that Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain is on his way to North London after the two clubs agreed a fee of around £18 Million. It is also being reported by the local media that Higuain and his agent have agreed terms almost immediately after the fee was agreed.

Arsenal Could Still Lose Sahin According To Mourinho 21

Real Madrid’s manager Jose Mourinho has made a statement which is sure to confuse every Arsenal fan out there. After rumours have been lately pointing towards a sure transfer from Spain to Arsenal for Madrid’s defensive midfielder Nuri Sahin, the situation doesn’t seem so clean cut now as Real Madrid are still negotiating with other clubs.

Real Madrid’s manager has admitted that Arsenal are one of the potential destinations for Sahin, but declared that for him it makes no difference if the Turk joins Liverpool or Tottenham, although he admits that the Premiership experience will be a very benefic one for the young midfielder.

Argentine Star Admits Arsenal Talks 2

Long term Arsenal target Lucas Biglia seems set to make the switch in the summer, as the Argentine declared that inquiries have been made by Real Madrid and Arsenal, but no official offer yet and that he’s still waiting to be contacted.

The Gunners are after a defensive midfielder and it has been thought that Biglia will be a top transfer target, but it seems that Wenger is much more interested in capturing M’Vila.

“It’s true that Real Madrid and Arsenal are interested in me,” the 26-year-old told todomercadoweb.es.

Lucas Biglia admits he is leaving Anderlecht….but not for Arsenal? 2

It seems that Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger would do better to secure the services of Rennes’ midfielder Yann M’Vila as soon as possible, because his other Arsenal transfer target Lucas Biglia has stated his interest in joining the Spanish league, thus snubbing interest coming from the Gunners and Liverpool.

The 26-year-old Argentine has been under Wenger’s attention for quite some time, but the defensive midfielder doesn’t seem too keen to make the move to Arsenal as Real Madrid is also interested in his services. I am sure if EITHER of these two arrived Arsenal fans would feel like they had won a jackpot from online scratch cards, but it now looks like Biglia is now out of the equation.
