Koscielny to stay and maybe repay Arsenal for cup final loss 2

Posted on June 18, 2013 by admin

The Arsenal and France defender Laurent Koscielny has been the subject of interest from Bayern Munich for months, ever since Pep Guardiola was announced as the new Bayern manager. The thought of losing Koscielny angered some Arsenal fans because he is regarded as one of the club’s best players after the season he has had. Guardiola’s former club Barcelona are also chasing him as a long term replacement for Carles Puyol.

Good news to those who love him, he will be staying at Arsenal for the foreseeable future.

Is Mignolet now the main Arsenal transfer target? 6

Posted on June 16, 2013 by admin

In light of the lack of talk regarding QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar and his supposing never ending transfer to the club, it’s come apparent to me for some time now that there is probably very little truth in the reports from a few weeks back that seemed to confirm that genuine negotiations had taken place between representatives from all three parties. I was pretty certain there was some form of truth in this rumour, simply because so many media outlets and sources were confirming the news. As of now it seems like it wasn’t meant to be and so the most recent reports regarding goalkeepers surrounding the potential interest in Simon Mignolet.

Attack and Defence both clicking for Arsenal at last 2

Posted on May 15, 2013 by admin

At various times throughout this Premier League season, Arsenal have been struggling with form at one end of the pitch, and occasionally both. In the final home game of the season against Wigan last night, however, both the attacking and defending side of the Gunners game were working well and looking good for a final day win to confirm Champions League qualification for next season.

Arsenal’s right back search hots up with Dortmund star 1

Posted on May 10, 2013 by admin

The latest right back to be linked with Arsenal is Borussia Dortmund’s Lukasz Piszczek. Arsenal have been looking for a right back recently because of the likelihood of Bacary Sagna leaving the club.

Sagna has been concerning the manager Arsene Wenger with his lack of match fitness and poor performances. Sagna himself seems keen on a move to French giants PSG. It is unclear whether PSG will make a move for the Frenchman or not and it is also unclear if Wenger will allow him to leave the club. Sagna would definitely be interested in a move to PSG to live close to his hometown and pocket a larger wage for the remaining years of his career.

Will Arsenal hold on to Fabianski? 0

Posted on May 10, 2013 by admin

Not too long ago it seemed as if Lukasz Fabianski would never play for Arsenal again. The 28-year old was linked with a few other teams and we heard that he was suffering from a long term injury. The 28-year old has enjoyed a remarkable resurgence at the Emirates, to the extent where Arsene Wenger has a difficult choice to make about who will play in goal against Wigan on Tuesday.

Arsenal boss very pleased with Szczesny response 0

Wojciech Szczesny has had a difficult season at Arsenal, there are no two ways about it. In fact, it all started at Euro 2012 when he conceded a penalty and was sent off in the first game for Poland. He didn’t play again, which must have been a nightmare, especially as Poland were hosts.

The 23-year old also cost Arsenal some vital Premier League points, but his worst moment must have been allowing Blackburn to score, essentially ending our trophy dreams for another year. The last straw for Wenger came in the north London derby and he was dropped after that. His dad’s anti-Wenger and Arsenal rant did not help, but Szczesny has taken it all board and come back fighting.

Arsenal’s Szczesny a good bet to keep a clean sheet for Poland tonight 2

Posted on June 08, 2012 by admin

Wojciech Szczesny’s EURO experience is about to begin, and this will also mark his first international tournament in his career, as the 22-year-old is about to enter a very tight group, but one from which Poland has quite a good chance of going through, especially as they will be playing on home territory.

Szczesny’s debut match, and the match which will also mark the beginning of the 2012 European Championship is the one between Poland and Greece. The two sides will face, later in the tournament, the likes of Russia and the Czech Republic in what is one of the tightest groups of the competition.

Szczesny – A couple more signings and Arsenal will win trophies 8

Posted on May 16, 2012 by admin

The young Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is disappointed that Arsenal didn’t manage to win a trophy this season, but he thinks that after the Gunners atrocious start to the season, Third Place can be considered a success.

He is also very happy that Arsenal have started the transfer window well by buying Lukas Podolski, but he still thinks that some more new arrivals are needed to make sure that the Gunners are back up at the top next time around.

“It is massive,” he said on Arsenal.com. “I said before that I don’t think people believed we could finish third.”

Arsenal Goalkeeper looking for loan next season 0

Posted on April 03, 2012 by admin

One of Arsenal’s most promising young talents, 19-year-old goalkeeper Damian Martinez, seems to think that the next step for him is a move away from the club for a season long loan spell.

The youngster is the regular reserve keeper right now but he seems to think that following in Szczesny’s footsteps will eventually help him become a better goalkeeper than the Pole is and take his place in Arsenal’s first eleven.

“Wojciech said he wasn’t ready for the first team yet so he went out on loan and learned so much there.

Redknapp Attacks Arsenal’s Szczesny 11

Posted on March 17, 2012 by admin

The Spurs manager Harry Redknapp has attacked Arsenal’s goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny after the recent statements the Pole made regarding Arsenal’s chase to get past Tottenham in the Premier League.

According to Redknapp, although Szczesny is a good goalkeeper he should focus more on football and try keeping his mouth shut when it comes to talking rubbish about other teams in the Premier League.

“Szczesny says he is coming to get Tottenham? Oh yeah, yeah, he does have a lot to say, Szczesny, doesn’t he?” Redknapp said.
