Tony Adams glad that Wenger has finally sorted the Arsenal defence

Arsenal are on a fantastic run of results lately, with seven wins in a nine-game unbeaten run which has propelled them back into the Champions League places. The famous Arsenal legend Tony Adams believes that this has been helped by the fact that Wenger has finally decided to play with a settled defence in every game.

Adams said: “What they have done in recent weeks is become a lot tighter at the back, and people like Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny have certainly benefitted from playing together consistently.

“Ok, that has made it tough for Thomas Vermaelen, who has done so much for the club since he arrived.

Van Persie pleased with Henry signing, and wants Tony Adams to join as well!

The Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie is more than happy that Arsene Wenger has brought his old idol Thierry Henry back to the Emirates this week, and believes the 34 year-old still has a lot to offer Arsenal.

“Thierry’s been fantastic,” Van Persie said. “I played with him for three years, and I’m happier than anyone to see him back here. When you train with guys like that, you can see that with every single touch he takes, he knows exactly what he is doing.
