Two EPL rivals to battle Arsenal over Dutch defender transfer!
Arsenal face a Premier League battle with Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday and we need to win that game to keep the scousers well behind us in the league table. We will also probably need all three points to stay ahead of our north London rivals Tottenham as they now sit two points behind us but have a home game against Burnley tomorrow.
As well as battling these two rivals on the pitch and in the EPL table, Arsenal are set to be locked in a transfer battle with them once the January transfer window opens in around two weeks. The subject of that battle, according to a report in The Daily Express today, is going to be the Celtic centre back Virgil van Dijk.
The powerful and talented Dutchman has really impressed for the Scottish champions and the 23-year old has suggested that he is ready to move on to bigger and better things. But Arsene Wenger may need to move fast with these two Premier League rivals also desperate for defensive cover and planning a transfer move for van Dijk.
