Wenger confirms MORE than one Arsenal January transfer

2

Good news Gooners! It looks like Arsenal fans will not have to suffer another January transfer window like the one a couple of years ago in which, despite the first team being ravaged by injuries and needing a striker, defender and midfielder at the very least, we ended up with the aging, injured and not very good Swedish midfielder Kim Kallstrom. (I still wake up sometimes in a cold sweat about that one).

This time the need is once again great but at least Arsene Wenger has today accepted that and revealed, as reported by Arsenal.com, that he is going to use the transfer window to strengthen the areas hit by injury problems.

There have been lots of Arsenal transfer rumours in the media about the Egyptian international midfielder Mohamed Elneny from the Swiss club Basel and the Frenchman all but confirmed his transfer to Arsenal when the details are all worked out. But he also hinted there would be more signings for the Arsenal fans to get excited about as well.

Wenger said, “I’ll be busy, that’s for sure. I am already busy and I said already one month ago we are a bit short to deal with all the competitions we face, especially in midfield. We will be busy, yes.

“Unfortunately we cannot announce anything at the moment about this player [Elneny] because nothing has been concluded.

“It’s not impossible [that Debuchy will leave]. I’m happy if he stays but we’ll see.”

So the Gunners are set to sign a central midfielder in Elneny but who else could be on their way to north London. I for one am hoping for another striker, and attacking midfielder to cover for Mesut Ozil and perhaps a central defender. How about the rest of you?

  1. A DM and Chicharito Fernández will be good signings.
Right now Giroud’s Wasting the chances Ozil’s creating.
Chicharito, Aguero, Diego Costa, Ighalo, Vardy can convert
    those chances easily.
