Wenger – Nobody can match Arsenal’s pace at the moment

Arsene Wenger was happy with the Arsenal performance (if not the final outcome) against AC Milan in midweek, and thinks that his team has finally shown that they can compete with the best.

It has taken some time for it all to come together, but now they can go on and make sure of a Champions League place in the final months of the season.

“We can play at a pace that, at the moment, maybe nobody else can sustain,” Wenger said. “When we are on our roles that is good for the morale of the team.

“If you look at the times we have reversed games; Villa, Tottenham, Liverpool, Sunderland and now Milan, you would say there is something special in there.

“I always believed in the spirit and quality of this team. I am sure if we keep going that will come out and the target until the end of the season is to be faithful to that.”

If Newcastle have been watching Arsenal’s last few games then they must surely be quaking in their boots ahead of Monday’s game at the Emirates. Destroy them!

  1. I wish the consistency also arrives and seriously it’s time for the youth program to provide the depth of the squad that it promised to us from day one
