Wenger says he has a plan to loan out Ryo Miyaichi to an English team (Bolton?)

The young Japanese genius Ryo Miyaichi had an excellent first loan period at Feyenoord last season, and it was the sparkling reviews from Holland which prompted Arsene Wenger to bring him back to Arsenal this season to see him first hand.

But the emergence of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain along with the arrival of Gervinho has left the youngster with very little chance of breaking into the Arsenal first-team this season, so Wenger is planning to send him out on loan to an English side in the next couple of days.

“I will have a chat with him tomorrow and I have a little plan.” Wenger said when asked about Ryo. “Oxlade-Chamberlain plays on the flanks now too, so if I can find an opportunity for him to play somewhere I will decide whether to do that tomorrow. It will have to be in England because he will lose the homegrown status if he leaves the country.”

Wenger’s statement rules out a move to Valenciennes, who had made an enquiry recently, so it looks like all the gossip recently has been saying that Bolton are the front-runners to take him for the rest of the season. After they did such a good job with Jack Wilshere, Bolton are always going to be in pole position for any further loans from Arsenal.

  1. ryo should take arshavin’s place on the bench. is this the same arsene who dropped wrighty in the fa cup final and played anelka? arshavin might be experienced russian captain but ryo is certaintly a better winger.
oh he cannot drop the meercat because he loves him, we love him too thats why we want him to move on and salvage his career in russia. and for wenger to admit publicly that he picks players he loves most its serious act of mismanagement. maybe he should think about retirement.

    1. You’re a f*ing idot Sam.
You obviously don’t know anything so why comment. Ryo has been injured off and on this season and he needs to play games. A loan spell at another PL team would do him a world of good. Arshavin hasn’t had a good season but as it stands at the moment I would still pick him over Ryo. Have you even seen the reserves games? Ryo is not Arsenal quality yet. He will be though.

  2. ^^ i’m ebarassed for you. you just made a fool of yourself. this club doesnt need fans like you

  3. Ryo really needs a break and some more football to continue is development, if bolton wants him then he should go and continue his growth. Personally i would prefer he stays and get some games but its looking farther and farther away

  4. All i want is to see arshavin play just a few games in his proper position behind the main striker. for the moment i think 4411 would not be a bad formation for us or if not arshavin could replace ramsey in a couple of matches to give us a.bit more going forward. If he does loan him out i hope its on a recall basis cos u just know what is going to happen the ox will become jaded gervinho will return with fatigue and theo will get injured leaving us with arsh and benni on the wings………yuk!
