Arsene Wenger dismissed the rumours which were saying that the Arsenal skipper Robin Van Persie would not be available for the weekend match against Liverpool.

The rumours have appeared following Netherlands’ game against England when Robin was pulled off the pitch at halftime by manager van Marwijk. The Dutchman also had a few problems after the official match training having to go to the changing room a few minutes before everybody else because of minor groin pains.

“It was planned by his manager (Netherlands coach Bert van Marwijk) because he knows we have a tough schedule,” said Wenger

“We are the only team in the world who plays Sunday, Wednesday, Saturday, Tuesday.”

If Robin would have gotten injured Wenger’s problems would be imense given Chamakh’s lack of form. The rumours have it that Wenger already managed to secure Podolski’s agreement to join in the summer and this would mean that next season Robin’s injuries would stop being such a big problem for Wenger.
