Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger is forced to make a decision he doesn’t seem to be too eager to make, as he must decide on what to do about Arsenal winger Ryo Miyaichi who has been brought back to the club in the summer after a season long loan to Feyenoord.

The young talent was having the time of his life just after he joined the Gunners, but shortly after that he picked up an injury which kept him away from the pitch for a very long time. Now Wenger could send him on yet another loan until the summer, but he’s not sure he wants to do that.

“I don’t know yet,” Wenger said when quizzed on Miyaichi’s future. “I will make up my mind in the next week or so as he needs to play now.”

The Frenchman knows that with Gervinho and Chamakh gone for a while, Miyaichi might come in handy even though he’s not yet ready to face the necessities of Premiership football. The kid is a very good prospect and he’s very well known for his speed, with people around Emirates saying that Walcott is a slow runner compared to Miyaichi who has also proved to have incredible technique with the ball.

Should Wenger keep him in reserve or send him out on loan again for some much-needed first team experience?

  1. I thought he looked brilliant for Feyenoord, he more or less single-handedly dragged them up the table, he scares the hell out of defenders. He’s definitely not the finished article and he does need game time. I would just be reluctant to send him out on loan while our squad is so thin.

  2. He can’t be any worse than Walcott so for that reason alone he deserves at least a couple of starts to proove himself.

  3. Play the youngster and maybe let wallnut go out on loan. Pretty sure wallnut will get some appreciation for the role he needs to fill in the team. Take his speed away and he’s nothing. On second thoughts, sell him after this season and get someone with proper ball skills and who can deliver good crosses as well as have a good punch at goal unlike wallnut’s back-pass shots at goal.

  4. What is arshavin doing for arsenal for him to say that arsenal can beat man united at home. He should be lucky enough to be at arsenal, I don’t know why wenger is still keeping him?
