Will Arsenal have to sell after striker hands in transfer request?

Handing in a formal transfer request is usually the last act of a player desperate to move away from their current club and that is just what Arsenal have been hit with from the wantaway striker Lucas Perez, who the Gunners only signed a year ago for £17 million.

Arsene Wenger has already admitted that he might have to sell the Spaniard because of the number of players competing for the Arsenal forward positions, but the Frenchman does not want to make too much of a loss and was ho9lding out for something like £13 million according to a Metro report.

One aspect of handing in a transfer request, though, as well as a player making it crystal clear they want to leave, is that they are willing to forego some part of the transfer fee which would normally go to the player, so with his former club Deportivo as well as the Turkish club Fenerbahce apparently interested will Arsenal now be able to accept a transfer bid that would not be too bad?

And if this transfer request does get Perez the move away from Arsenal that he wants due to lack of playing opportunities, will it spark any other of the Gunners who are on the fringes to do the same?
