Wilshere’s And Sagna’s Injuries Ahead Of Schedule

Arsenal’s most precious injured players Backary Sagna and Jack Wilshere are due to return sooner than it was expected. The English International was out from the beginning of the season, while the Frenchman got injured in the London derby against Tottenham, but they’ll both make the comeback soon.

Wilshere is expected by Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger to be fit by the end of January and Sagna even sooner and the two are coming to aid a very in form Arsenal team.

“Jack is doing very well, he is one week behind Bacary Sagna, so he should start to run outside next week,” said Wenger. “He could be back in the team at the end of January, beginning of February.

“You could see that Sagna is ahead of schedule. I saw him still limping a little bit so we have to be careful but physically he will be ready very quickly because he worked very hard in the gym.

“We can think about him returning as soon as he will be capable to touch the ball. We think the end of January is a reasonable target.”

With City now having lost ground against WBA with a draw on Boxing day, perhaps this is the best moment for Wilshere and Sagna to come back and for Wenger to launch an attack on the rival city of Manchester for the first positions in the league.
