I will believe it when I see it Arsenal fans. I can still remember how Jose Mourinho kept Arsene Wenger thinking that the Gunners would be getting the Chelsea striker Demba Ba on loan right up until the end of the transfer window last summer, before pulling the plug and leaving the Arsenal boss with no time to bring in another striker and that could have made the difference in our title bid.

So I for one am taking the Metro report which claims that Chelsea have agreed to sell us their want away second choice keeper Petr Cech in January for around £7 million with a very large pinch of salt. And I hope that Arsene Wenger is too, because until the transfer is completed, he should not trust Mourinho as far as he could push in along the touchline.

In fact, after the way Chelsea have done business with us in the past, I would make it club policy for Arsenal to have nothing to do with them when it comes to transfers.

I would love it if we did sign Cech because he is top quality, but with Szczesny and Ospina due to be fit again soon, it is not exactly the position we really need to worry about.
