It has been a frustrating month for Arsenal fans, with Arsene Wenger seemingly sleeping on the job as the business of signing players in the transfer window goes on around us. But now all the signs are pointing to this week being a good one for the Gunners.

The official unveiling of the new PUMA hit on Thursday is likely to coincide with the official announcement of at least to exciting new Arsenal players. The fans want big names as well as the right players for the club, and they do not come much bigger than the Spain and Real Madrid keeper Iker Casillas. That transfer really would turn heads this week, and probably increase the sale of shirts very nicely thank-you, and according to the Daily Star, it could happen.

The paper reports that Casillas has decided on a move to the Premier League as he is not confident of his place in the Madrid side of Carlo Ancelotti, who preferred Diego Lopez throughout last season’s La Liga campaign. Arsene Wenger is said to have contacted the 33-year old last week to see if he fancied the move and has seemingly persuaded the Spaniard.

That must mean that he has promised Casillas more game time than he would get at Madrid, which is not such good news for Wojciech Szczesny, who may become a `cup keeper` himself. However, having such a top class keeper at the club will surely help turn the Polish international into one of the best in the world in the coming years, as he is still only 24. What do you think to this Arsenal transfer rumour?
