£20m GOAL MACHINE welcomes January Arsenal transfer talk

Although Arsenal seem to have a couple of other transfer priorities than to strengthen the forward line in January, it does not mean that Arsene Wenger and his Arsenal scouting team will not still be looking at striking options for the January.

And with it looking increasingly likely that either Lukas Podolski, Joel Campbell or both will be looking to leave the Emirates in January in order to get more game time, maybe the Gunners will need to sign another striker when the winter window opens.

So the Metro report that reveals that one of our transfer targets, the Roma and Italy international striker Mattia Destro, has heard about Arsenal’s interest and declared himself delighte3d about it. The 23-year old is now in his third season with the Serie A club and has started the season in stunning form, hitting four goals from just six starts and it sounds like he is ready to make the next step up to the Premier League with Arsenal.

Destro said, “Arsenal for me? The rumours are good, I’m happy for them.

“This is the proof that I’m doing my work well.”

The paper also claims that sources in Italy claim that Arsenal have already opened talks with the Italian club over the possible transfer of their prolific hit man, so we could see him in the famous read and white pretty soon…
