Alexis returns with transfer request to force Arsenal exit?

The good news for Arsenal fans is that the main man Alexis Sanchez has actually touched down in London once again after his return to training after an extended summer break because of his and Chile’s appearance in the final of the Confederates Cup was delayed due to a bout of illness.

But just as that illness has raised questions about the striker’s desire to quit the club he signed for from La Liga’s Barcelona a few years ago, there are rumours circulating that Alexis has returned to England with the intention of forcing Arsenal and Arsene Wenger to sell him by handing in a transfer request, according to a report by Metro.

Even if he does hand in this request it would not necessarily mean that we sold him this summer but it would surely make it more likely and make it harder for the boss to stick to his recent promise not to. Can Wenger hang on to his prize asset or will Sanchez force the Gunners to sell him?
