It is shaping up to be the most enjoyable and optimistic summer for Arsenal fans in many a year. Arsene Wenger and the Gunners are on the point of securing a higher than usual finish in the Premier League and lifting the FA cup for the second season in a row and the boss looks keen to push on even further and give us Gooners a title winning team with some great transfer business.

One of those bits of business is almost sorted already, according to a Metro report which claims to have inside information that the Chelsea keeper Petr Cech is almost certain to become an Arsenal player. A lot of us were worried that Jose Mourinho would veto this transfer after he said that he thinks it would be a huge mistake to sell Cech to a rival.

But a report in The Mirror explains that Mourinho is set to be disappointed because Arsenal and Chelsea are already in talks over the terms of the deal, thought to be worth around £10 million and wages of £100,000 a week.

  1. We’ve already got good goalies. Why do we need one who is not good enough for Chelsea ?

  2. Geekaybee!!

    You’re having a laugh?!

Cech is the world class keeper we have been missing since David Seaman!

He’s only not playing for Chelski because they have the best keeper in the world! Next best is good enough for me unless you know someone better?!!

    No pleasing some people!

  3. Petr Cech is an upgrade on both Ospina and Sczsney with lots of premeir league experience. So he wil b a nice addition.
Get him(cech) and sell or loan out Sczsney. Ospina will b a nice back up.
