Arsenal Called To Action By Top Turkish Striker

Brazilian full-back Andre Santos might not remain the single player Arsenal brought in this season from Turkey for long, as Trazbonspor star Burak Yilmaz declared his interest in Arsenal publicly.

According to Turkey’s prolific striker he would only leave the home league for a transfer to a big club abroad, and a move to the Emirates Stadium would be favored by the 26-year-old attacker.

“I am a Trabzonspor player until the end of the season; if I were to move abroad I would want to move to a big club. I would accept a transfer to Arsenal,” he told Turkish State Television channel TRT1 .

Although he’s one of the most important players in the Turkish national team, that doesn’t count for much these days after they failed to qualify for the Ukrainian and Poland Euro 2012.

The in-form striker is the current top scorer in Turkey having scored a whooping 22 goals in 21 games, and even though his club is only on the 6th place in the league his top contender for the top goal scorer title only has 9 goals so far, and former Premiership star Elmander has 8.

With these stats Yilmaz might be an amazing addition to Arsenal’s attacking force which would be horribly shaken if Robin Van Persie would get injured.

  1. No thanks not good enough and not proven need a big name and a statement of intent as at the moment the club is showing no ambition

    1. Koscielny was not known and you was moaning when AW brought him to the club. and you wanted a ready CB !!!
now, he’s the best defender in the league.
What do you know about this player to say he’s not good enough. because you have never heard about him, that’s why he’s not good, or because you want to spend money like a fool, so you want to get Messi !!!
let people do their job and support your team whatever players in. that’s the job of the a supporter…
      Gooner 4 ever!

  2. Elmander is 2nd leading scorer in the turkish league…..says it all really. whe would be another park or chamalh just cos u score a hatful.of goals in a third rate league means nothing. we may as well go for jordan rhodes at huddersfield at least he wont have to adapt to the country and would not take up a valuable foreign place in the squad. We need to be gojng for players in the world class bracket tevez huntelaar podolski soldado to name but a few. we already have second and third rate strikers on the books chamakh park bendtner vela arshavin selling those 5 would probably raise 30m enough probably buy huntelaar rhodes and podolski. For me that is all that is required with the strikeforce imagine walcott gervinho chamberlain rvp huntelaar afobe rhodes miyaichi podolski. similar to the midfield we only really need 2 players mvila and hazard approximately 40m sell diaby rosicky eastmond denilson and release benayoun. leaving us with mvila hazard wilshire song frimpong coquelin arteta ramsey and lansbury good enough set to take on anyone net spend there 25m. in defence samba vertonghen clyne baines sell squillaci djourou and hoyte. this will probably be our biggest outlay net spend 25-30m but we would then have sagna clyne jenkinson samba mertesacker bartley vermaelen vertonghen koscielny miquel santos baines gibbs enough defensive talent to compete with the very best. a net outlay of just 50m about the.same as what chelsea spent on one expensive flop.
