If Arsenal and the player in question work fast then we might even get this striker signing wrapped up before the serious business of the January transfer window begins. Because as far as I know there is nothing to stop Arsenal from signing this 16-year old prospect whenever we want.

Victor Osimhen is his name and he turns 17 in a few days, but he has already led his country to World Cup glory this year as Nigeria beat Mali 2-0 in the final and Osimhen scored the opening goal to take his tally to a very impressive 10 and this sets a new tournament record.

A Metro report reveals that Arsenal and Wolfsburg are the two clubs battling for his signature and it sounds to me like the young forward is leaning towards the Gunners. He has told the press that the German club have already offered him a good deal but he still has to come to England check out our facilities and see what if Arsenal is the club for him.

Osimhen said, “I spoke with the [Wolfsburg] coach who also made several promises and if I eventually choose to sign for them, I hope they’ll keep their word.

“But I have not decided where to go yet because Arsenal are also showing strong interests and perhaps after my visit to the club, I will have a clear view of where I want to go.”

Surely you would think that he will be suitable impressed with everything Arsenal has to offer that he puts pen to paper soon to become a young Gunner. But will he be the only striker we sign next month?
