It could be more important than ever for Arsenal to secure a place in the Champions League for next season, especially if the Premier League table at the end of this season has the Gunners sitting above Liverpool and Man United.

That is because it could be the final factor that sees Arsenal beat off the competition from these two BPL rivals for the signature of the talented Germany international forward Marco Reus. According to a Daily Star report, the 25-year old has moved a step closer to an exit from his current club, Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund.

According to reports from Germany, the attacking player had been in talks with Dortmund over a new contract, but those talks have now stalled, with Reus apparently unhappy about the club’s transfer policy which has seen them lose Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski to their main rivals Bayern Munich in successive seasons.

So Europe’s top clubs will be on alert as Reus is one the most dangerous and highly rated forward players around. But he is thought to be keen on the Premier League and to have a soft spot for Arsenal, so as long as we can win that Wenger trophy again, the Gunners should be in pole position for this fantastic transfer. Can you see Reus coming to Arsenal next summer?
