Arsenal Lead Chelsea In Fight For Barcelona Wonderkid

Barcelona’s winger Isaac Cuenca may be in for an unexpected move in January as both Chelsea and Arsenal are interested in the 20-year-old who has yet to extend his contract with the Catalans.

Being more often than not on the sidelines Cuenca is delaying his contract talks with the European Champions and interest didn’t show up late in his services after he’s proved to be one of the best prospects of Spanish football.

After a successful loan spell at Sabadell in the last season, the winger managed to get 5 appearances this season for Barcelona also scoring 2 goals. Despite all this he isn’t satisfied with the situation and he’s stalling contract talks until after January even though his current deal with the Catalans runs out in the summer.

In these conditions Arsenal or Chelsea are both being linked with a move for the talented youngster at a premium price ,and given the transfer history between the two English clubs and Barcelona a move is highly possible if the interest will prove to be a concrete one.  Do you think he should join?

  1. Dat is a good ideal for wenger tu bring d lyk of dat cuenca tu d gunnerrs club dat will b okay

  2. Not another wonder-kid!

We have about 9 waiting to get some first team action as it is … Im getting sick of the phrase ‘wonder-kid’ its beginning to drive me up the wall

  3. We don’t need any wonder kid in arsenal for God sake. We need stars, quality players that will help us to win trophies.

  4. Cuenca looks like another Pedro which isn’t a bad thing. I have only seen him in a handful of games this year for Barca but he’s impressed for his age. We still need an experienced striker of the 20M+ variety but with Arshavin being bollocks, Chamakh not fitting into the system, Vela falling over everytime a EPL defender touches him it would not be a bad idea to have an experienced striker along with a young up and comer to slowly transition into the team.
