Anyone with any connection to Arsenal Football Club will already have been very impresses with the performances or arguably the best signing made by Arsene Wenger since Thierry Henry. And one of the players that used to share the pitch with our record goalscorer, the Brazilian midfielder Edu, thinks that we ain’t seen nothing yet from Alexis Sanchez.

The former Gunners midfielder has also backed his former boss, as reported by the Daily Star, and called on the Arsenal board and fans to keep showing faith with the only living boss to have steered their team to an unbeaten season in the English top division, something that Edu himself was a part of.

On Alexis he believes that Arsenal have got themselves a rare and precious gem and that his age and his ability to improve and adapt to the Premier League ensures that Arsenal have much more to come from the Chilean international.

Edu said, “It would be difficult to compare the top players I played with and Alexis Sanchez.

“But Sanchez is doing very well and he is still young and will develop into becoming an even better player.

“Arsene Wenger was very important in my career and he is wonderful coach. He is so important to Arsenal and the club’s history.

“He has been there for so long at one club and he is a very clever, nice person and an unbelievable coach. I have much respect for Wenger.

“Arsenal and Arsene Wenger in particular, have always tried to sign young players. This is Wenger’s philosophy for the club.

“Many players come from clubs with great potential and the philosophy of the club is finding these players and developing them further to hopefully break into the first team.

“Sometimes you expect the players to explode onto the scene but sometimes they don’t – that’s just how it goes.”

But Alexis has and who would disagree that he will only get better?
