After Zinchenko and Jesus, Arteta Is Keen To Land Another Guardiola Favourite For £43 Million
It is not surprising that Arteta will add to his attacking options during the winter transfer window; what is surprising is who he may sign to do so. Although the focus is on Mykhailo Mudryk, it is possible that Arsenal will require a backup option if Mudryk’s deal falls through.
If you’re wondering, “Who else can Arteta sign for his attack?” Don’t waste your time doing so; instead, consider what Ferran Torres can bring to Arsenal’s attack. Futbol Total reports Arteta is willing to pay £43 million to bring the Barcelona man back to the Premier League a year after he left.

Arteta seems to bring out the best in players who have worked with Pep Guardiola. Arsenal has been transformed overnight into a title contender thanks to the swoops of Gabriel Jesus and Oleksander Zinchenko.
Torres, whom Pep has also polished, could be the final piece of the puzzle for Arteta to win the Premier League. If Arsenal can persuade Barcelona to sell Torres for £43 million, it is almost certain that Torres will jump at the chance to join Arsenal.
At the Emirates, he would have a chance to be the main man in attack in Jesus’ absence, something he isn’t doing at Camp Nou. Torres joined Barcelona at the start of 2022 as one of the main men in attack, but things didn’t go as planned, and the acquisition of Raphinha last summer saw him transition from first-team player to squad player.
Is he a player Arsenal can profit from if he joins? For that, we’ll have to wait and see if the deal goes through
