Arsenal Offer Squillaci To Espanyol!
It is being reported that Arsenal have offered the French centre-half Sebastien Squillaci to Spanish side Espanyol. Squillaci has made only one appearance so far this season and an exit seems inevitable.
After signing from Sevilla last summer, the 31-year-old has had a torrid time at the Emirates despite making 30 appearances in his first season with the club. He has lacked consistency and has made numerous high-profile blunders. He has also had his fair share of injuries. If you’d ask me, he’s just not good enough for the English game.
There were reports earlier that Championship side West Ham wanted to take him on loan to Upton Park but their offer was rejected by Arsenal, guess Wenger is looking to get rid of the sloppy Frenchman on a permanent basis. Russian billionaires Anzhi Makhachkala were also said to be interested.
After dropping the dead weight, I hope Wenger will open his wallet and bring in a world-class replacement. Jan Vertonghen anyone?

Also he failed to see Mertesacker would have problems with pace, when everyone else saw it. I’m not exactly in the know about your coaching setup but maybe you need a coach or someone to help identify transfer targets and lodge proper bids for them, when it comes to defenders?
