It’s been a busy week rumour-wise in Arsenal’s case, as the English giants were linked with a bucket-load of players, some of which might even be seen wearing an Arsenal jersey next season.
Probably two of the most wanted players both by Wenger and the fans are French Ligue 1 talents Yann M’Vila and Eden Hazard. The first one’s transfer got a bit trickier according to this week’s press as Italian side Inter Milan seem to have taken an intense interest in Wenger’s target and are ready to fight for his signature.
The second player, Eden Hazard, was advised by his former Lille colleague Cabaye who is now playing for Newcastle to snub Tottenham and the rest and join Arsenal (and hopefully he’ll do just that).
Another oldie but goodie transfer rumour was speaking about Jan Vertonghen’s wish to join the Gunners as the defensive star continually speaks about his interest in joining Arsenal, and just this week admitted that he had a few offers in hand.
Along the lines of newer rumours we have had a very interesting report which speaks about Lazio’s Hernanes interest in leaving the Italian Serie A and joining Arsenal, as the 26-year-old has grown frustrated with the lack of ambition at the Italian club.
Another rumour from Italy was speaking about a Arsenal reigniting a possible interest in Inter’s striker Ricky Alvarez. This might and might not be true as the Argentine didn’t prove too much help for the Italians in what was probably the worst season Inter Milan had in the modern football history.
Who will join is still unknown, but the good thing is that at least there’s a chance some of these rumours will motivate Wenger in bringing in a few top quality players with whom he can attack the title.
