There have been a lot of Arsenal transfer rumours recently that have linked Arsene Wenger with a stunning transfer bid for the young Argentinean striker Paulo Dybala. The 21-year old has been in such explosive form in Italy’s Serie A this season that he has been favourably compared to his compatriot Sergio Aguero.

But it was also reported that he was unlikely to complete the transfer from his current club Palermo to Arsenal until the end of the season. With all the attacking options at Wenger’s disposal and the injury situation leaving the Gunners stretched in central midfield and defence, a striker was hardly the priority in January.

But now that Borussia Dortmund have entered the frame, according to a Metro report, and are already in talks over a possible bid to take Dybala to the Bundesliga, Arsenal may have to firm up our interest and move fast to challenge the German giants.
