ARSENAL SHOULD AVOID BALOTELLI AT ALL COSTS

Italian striker Mario Balotelli has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer in what would be a return to the Premier League for the former Manchester City front man.

Although Arsenal are in desperate need of a striker to support Olivier Giroud next season, Balotelli would not be a smart move. Super Mario has caused problems at every club he has been at including his current team AC Milan.

There is no doubting that Balotelli has lots of ability. On his day he is one of the most exciting players anywhere in the world, the problem is, those days don’t seem to come around too often any more.

The World Cup is a prime example of Balotelli not delivering. Italy manager Cesare Prandelli made the mistake of building his team around the striker. Unfortunately for him and the Italian supporters, the young striker failed to deliver, apart from his goal against England in the opening group game to the delight of Betfair backers.

In his last spell in England, the Italian was given a number of chances by his manager Roberto Mancini who signed him from Inter Milan. However, eventually he did lose patience with the youngster and allowed him to leave in a move back to Serie A.

Last season was a disappointing campaign for Milan in the Italian league to the disappointment fo Betfair backers. They were a long way off the pace which resulted in manager Clarence Seedorf losing his job. Fans of the club were very critical of Balotelli’s contribution to the team and his attitude at times when things are not going his way. As a result, the Italian giants may be looking to offload this summer.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will have to consider if Balotelli is worth taking a risk with. The Frenchman is not usually one for taking on players who have proved difficult to manage elsewhere, especially if he would demand a large transfer fee.

A lot may depend on the availability of Alexis Sanchez. He has been one of the star players in Brazil. Barcelona may have to sell the Chile international as they are preparing a bid for Liverpool’s Luis Suarez which is expected to be in the region of £80 million. If the Gunners can secure a world class striker this summer, they may not be far away from the title so look the value in the outright betting at betfair.com.

  1. I have complete faith in AW regards to this. A whole lot of people were saying the same about our bid for Suarez, that Suarez will be a liability etc, OMG, how many times did I wish we signed him last season, probably we could have made a huge profit on him as well now :). I would be happy to support any player who don the jersey of Arsenal. I will never boo him on the ground.

  2. Baloteli can play elsewhere but not at Arsenal. I dont fancy him as he’ll bring
chaos to the team with his temper and attitude. A bad morale to young players
    at emirates.

  3. I think you’re being too harsh on Mario by citing his dim performance at the world cup. What about Wayne Rooney? Was he not equally underwhelming? Why won’t the British press talk about that too?

  4. I think Mr Wenger should consider his signing of super Mario his top signing this season. The word Super doesn’t come out of nothing. Mario is actually super, that’s why his called that name. A super Mario at Arsenal could make the Gunners become super Gunners!
