Arsenal starting XI to face Southampton – NO changes?

Arsenal have another chance to start putting a proper run of results together but the visit of an in form Southampton side presents a real challenge for the Gunners. It had looked like Arsene Wenger was going to have to contend with more injury problems, with both left backs and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain doubts for the game, but Monreal and the Ox both trained as normal yesterday, so hopefully that will not be the case.

There is a strong argument for bringing the Ox back into the starting line-up, as he has been in great form and players often seem to find some extra effort when facing their former clubs, but that would mean dropping one of the front three of Alexis, Giroud and Welbeck and I don’t think that Wenger will want to.

The Ox will be an excellent option from the bench and I think the manager will want to keep the momentum going and keep the same line up that started the game at West Brom on Saturday. He does not have many options in midfield with Arteta and Wilshere out of the picture, while Cazorla’s recent form means he must keep his place in the number 10 role.

Giroud is just back, Welbeck scored against the Baggies and Alexis can always produce the moment of magic that will turn a game. Would you change anything?
