Whether this one transfer will then lead to some more action in the market for Arsenal, we can only hope, but when the club does finally complete the transfer away from the Emirates stadium of the Costa Rican international forward Joel Campbell, it will create some space in the Arsenal squad.

Perhaps that is what Arsene Wenger has been waiting for as the fans get increasingly concerned about the Gunners trying to beat the likes of Chelsea and Man City to the Premier League title with Olivier Giroud as the first choice centre forward.

Let´s hope so, because a Metro report claims that the transfer of Campbell to the Italian Serie A club Palermo is on the verge of being completed. The president of Palermo is apparently in London now to wrap up the details of the transfer.

I feel a bit sorry for Campbell, as the young striker had to wait for years before finally getting a work permit to play in England and by then he had a lot of competition to get past to get in the first team. But if we are not going to play him we might as well sell him for good and get someone else in, or at least make room for the young players like Akpom.
