I would not be surprised to hear that not just Arsenal but every big club in the Premier League were on red alert and preparing to make a transfer bid in the summer after Edinson Cavani all but invited them to bring him to England in the next transfer window.

The PSG and Uruguay international star is one of those few strikers out there that would improve almost any team in the world, so the Metro report which reveals his desire to come and play in the Premier League is bound to create a buzz and possibly a bidding war when the summer transfer window opens.

The 29-year old forward said, “‘Honestly, it would be wrong if I said no. It’s is one of the most beautiful and important leagues in the world.

‘When, as a player, you have dreamed of playing at the highest level, it’s normal that it gets your attention to be linked as a target as a possible addition to important clubs in the world.

‘The reality is that I’m here [at PSG]. We will see in the future, but it’s true that the Premier League is very appealing.’

If that is not a come and get me plea to English clubs like Arsenal then I don’t know what is. And Arsene Wenger must be thinking about a big striker signing after the likes of Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud and their wayward finishing looks like costing us the Premier League title this time.

Do you think Arsenal will bid for this brilliant striker?
