It was a big blow to Arsene Wenger´s transfer plans a couple of years ago, if you believe the majority of the Arsenal transfer rumours at the time, and it was almost a disaster when Gonzalo Higuain scored for his Italian club Napoli against the Gunners and nearly knocked us out of the Champions League.

But the club´s attempts to challenge Juventus in Serie A has never really materialised and their European adventure is turning sour as well. Having just been knocked out of the Europa League at the semi-final stage by Dnipro, Bapoli are almost certain to miss out on the UCL next season with three games left to make up a six point gap.

And that has led Higuain to start looking for a move away this summer, as reported by Metro. Arsenal will have to beat other clubs including Juventus and Real Madrid apparently, but Wenger is said to be determined to finally get his hands on this top striker who could be one of the final pieces in place for Arsenal to win the Premier League.
