At least the Arsenal transfer rumours suggesting that there might still be a chance of us signing Karim Benzema from Real Madrid have finally stopped. And with both Edinson Cavani and Gonzalo Higuain starting and scoring for their clubs PSG and Napoli yesterday, we can forget about them as well.

But Arsene Wenger did suggest that he was still hoping to add a striker to the Arsenal squad before the transfer window slams shut tomorrow. And reports today have us linked with a couple of interesting options.

One is the Brazilian forward Alexander Pato, formerly of AC Molan a currently playing on loan for Sao Paulo in Brazil. Pato has had his problems over the last few years but seems to be getting his career back on track, with 21 goals from 42 games this year. He has just added Arsenal to his twitter follow list and has apparently been offered to a number of Premier League clubs.

The other is the Ukrainian international Andriy Yarmolenko. Metro are reporting that we are in a transfer battle with Borussia Dortmund for the Dynamo Kiev striker who has 19 international goals.

Which of these two possible transfer targets would you prefer to see at the club?
