Arsenal to take advantage of Roma woes with BARGAIN transfer?
It is not the transfer that most of the Arsenal fans are hoping for. In fact it is not even in one of the two positions that most of us see as the priorities for strengthening in the January transfer window, central defence and central midfield.
But Arsene Wenger may be tempted to take advantage of the Serie A club Roma and their situation to pick up the Italy international star Mattie Destro for a bargain price when the transfer window opens in January. Roma were knocked out of the Champions League last night and the money lost from that as well as their desire not to sell Kevin Strootman to Man United have led them to offer to sell their talented young striker to us.
THey value him at around £15 million but with Wenger not really needing a striker right now, they would have to accept less than that to persuade Arsenal to do the deal. So should we sanp up this starlet on the cheap and strike while the iron is hot?
