I personally think that only another injury to one of the Arsenal attacking stars will force Arsene Wenger into the market to sign a striker during the current January transfer window. But the Frenchman has surprised us before and even if he is not looking at a new forward this month, he might well already be looking at transfer options for the summer.

One of those is the Marseille and Belgium international striker Michy Batshauyi. The Gunners are said to have been keeping a close eye on the talented 22-year old and Wenger is supposed to be very impressed by him. His goal record of a goal a game for Belgium and almost one every other game in the French Ligue 1 is certainly impressive.

But according to Metro we could be about to lose him by delaying our transfer bid, as Louis van Gaal is desperate to increase his scoring power at Manchester United and has had scouts watching Batshuayi in recent games.

So are the Gunners set to lose another transfer target to one of our Premier League rivals and are we set to go through yet another transfer window with just one less than inspiring signing to strengthen our injury hit squad?
