Arsenal v Aston Villa Betting Preview – Look for the value!

Arsenal are very short odds-on to win against Aston Villa at the Emirates today, but as they are expected to be missing their star man Alexis Sanchez through injury it may not be such a certainty after all, although the Gunners have other players just as likely to score.

The Gunners won the away fixture 3-0 earlier in the season, and the Villains have not been very competitive lately either. According to Bet365 the Gunners are 1/4 to win, Aston Villa 12/1 with the draw priced at 5/1.

Villa have lost their last three away games 1-0 and, although they haven’t gained many points they have only conceded 6 goals in their last 7 matches, so if you think Arsenal, without Sanchez, may just escape with a narrow win, then take the 7/1 for 1-0 from bet365.

Perhaps the more sensible bet, considering that Aston Villa have only scored once in those seven League games and David Ospina has kept three clean sheets in a row, is a simple Arsenal win without conceding. It’s only a 9/10 chance but seems to me to be the most likely outcome. If you are thinking of having a punt in England at these prices then you should first get the sports betting promo code for Bet365 from promo-code.co.uk.

I like to think outside the box when I’m watching Arsenal and I’m looking for a likely winner at an excellent price, so I am going to stick with he low-scoring forecast (unless Alexis passes his late fitness test!).

For me I like the 13/1 on offer for Arsenal to be winning 1-0 at half-time and the score to remain the same at the end. That is worth a fiver of my money! My second bet is for Olivier Giroud to score first and Arsenal win 1-0. That is a massive 17/1. Surely he should be favourite to score in if Alexis is absent!

Good luck!
