Cazorla calls on Wenger to boost Arsenal front line

The Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla thinks that the Gunners have a ready-made strike force but believes that we may need a new arrival this summer as he is not convinced that Theo Walcott is enough to fire Arsenal to the title. The Spaniard also told how important it was for us to keep the defensive solidity that we found last season.

He said: “One of the key areas we have to focus on next season is being a very strong defensive team. If we have got those things under control our offence is already good enough.

“We need to make sure that the positioning of our back line is strong and always stays that way.

“Last season we lost so many points against small teams at home, and if we want to win the league we can’t lose those points.”

“It is a tough decision and down to Mr Wenger to make these decisions. My only hope is that whoever is chosen will be somebody who can pump up the level of the team.

“When it comes to a position or who in particular we might need, somebody in Theo Walcott’s area. He is not necessarily a true, true striker so we might need somebody in his area.“

So even though Arsene Wenger has Alexis Sanchez, Danny Welbeck and Olivier Giroud as well as the rocket man Walcott, it is clear that Cazorla wants the boss to sign another striker. But which one would complete the Arsenal strike force?
