Chamakh Due To Leave Arsenal?

Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger might finally be able to shake off striker Marouane Chamakh, a player who the Frenchman has been trying to sell for a long time. Turkish side Besiktas seem to be highly interested in buying the Morocco international from Arsenal in their attempts to get stronger for the new season.

Besiktas manager Samet Aybaba has admitted that the rumours are correct, and that the attempts the club has made to sign a striker may lead them to snatching Chamakh from Arsenal.

‘We have decided to push forwards in our attempts to sign a striker, there is a high possibility we sign Chamakh,’

Marouane Chamakh has seized to be an option for Arsenal’s first team a long time ago, and with quite a lot of dead weight consuming the wage pool at Arsenal, the French manager must do something about this and try to make room for top additions, an issue he claimed to be true at the beginning of the season.

Making room for top additions would have been crucial at the start of the transfer window, but now that Arsenal are one day away from the end of the transfer window, Wenger is probably trying to make room for what he’s planning to bring in the winter or next summer.
