Okay I know that Arsenal did not get the group of death this time in the Champions League group draw, but the Gunners always make it out of the group anyway. The important thing for the club this season is to win the group, which is generally down to the two best teams in it.

So drawing the Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund could hardly have been worse. Arguably, the French champions PSG with all their money and players would have been tougher, but just look at how well Jurgen Klopp’s side have done in recent years and you will see that Arsenal are really up against it.

This could be good news for us though, if it convinces Arsene Wenger that he needs to strengthen the side in order to top the group, especially with our main centre forward Olivier Giroud out for all of the group games. Even Galatasaray and Anderlecht will present a challenge, so we will not be able to let up at all in midweek and if the Frenchman is really serious about challenging for the Premier League as well as going as far as possible in Europe, he will surely need another top class striker at the very least.

Realistically, another defender and a combative central midfielder are required for us to have any hope in the two main campaigns this season. So come on Arsene, you have not got long and we have the money.
