If I was superstitious or religious I would be praying now or doing whatever ritual I felt was lucky, because it is hugely important for Arsenal to get all out players back from the international games fit and ready to go. When Arsene Wenger said earlier this month that he felt Arsenal had enough quality in the side to challenge for the Premier League title, he was roundly ridiculed.

However, we have since recorded four good wins on the bounce, including the team everybody was slobbering over because of their transfer spending, Tottenham. The brilliant transfer coup of Mesut Ozil and the astute signing of Flamini and Viviano, combined with the imminent recovery of key players like Vermaelen, Arteta and Oxlade-Chamberlain, makes the Gunners look a lot more dangerous.

There seems to be a fantastic spirit in the camp, and plenty of talent. Giroud has really clicked in front of goal, while Ramsey looks better than ever and Wilshere is working his way back to full match fitness. The only thing, in my opinion, that is threatening to derail our first proper title challenge in years, is if any more big players pick up an injury. So cross everything you’ve got, Gooners, and hope that we can go to Sunderland on Saturday and start making the Premier League properly afraid of Arsenal again.
