The Blues welcomes Arsenal in the top of the table clash at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea occupy the 1st spot in the League with 56 points to Arsenal’s third position with 47 points along with Tottenham Hotspur ( but with a better goal difference).

Chelsea are hot favourites, and my favourite tipping site www.footballbets.tips thinks Chelsea will win, but the Blues lost with a huge margin earlier this season to the Gunners (3-0) at the Emirates as goals from Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Mesut Ozil inspired Arsenal’s excellent win.

It promises to be an intriguing game as Arsenal intend to close the 9 point difference on Chelsea who will be looking to extend the gap in between both sides (Chelsea and Arsenal) in the League coupled with some element of revenge mission following the 3-0 defeat suffered against Arsenal which was orchestrated by Arsenal’s duo of Alexis Sanchez and Alex Iwobi.

On this note we evaluate five players who can change the game between Chelsea and Arsenal today.

WILLIAN BORGES

The Brazilian midfield player will be one of the Blues finest players going into the clash as seen from his dynamic movement on the ball in recent games.

The talented playmaker who combines flair and attacking speed to his game will be a handful for the likes of Nacho Monreal or Kieran Gibbs on the left back if he operates on Chelsea’s right side of attack.

Willian offers directness and flair to Chelsea’s forward play into the opposition vital areas and Arsenal must be up to the Brazilian challenge as the game approaches in earnest.

ALEX IWOBI

The Nigerian forward will be crucial for the away side going into the fixture as his performance in recent weeks suggest.

He was brilliant on the ball against Chelsea in the first leg (Round 1 of the Premier League) where he set up Theo Walcott’s goal in transition in his march to win the MOTM-The-Man-Of-The-Match award ahead of Alexis Sanchez, Laurent Koscielny and Mesut Ozil, who did well in the game as the Gunners won 3-0.

He was again on fire against Watford and must be taken seriously by the Chelsea side going into the game.

N’GOLO KANTE

The French midfield player have had a solid performance for the Blues this season in Chelsea’s midfield along with the Serbian midfield dynamite Nemanja Matic.

The duo have formed a superb partnership that have been difficult for oppositions to breakdown this season following the 3-4-3 formation existence except for rivals Tottenham Hotspur who beat the League leaders Chelsea 2-0 at White Hart Lane earlier in January (4)2017.

The marking ability and the midfield awareness of the French man is Chelsea’s key on their way to the title. This just goes to show how effective the midfield player can be in the game against visiting side Arsenal.

ALEXIS SANCHEZ

The Arsenal Superstar is one player who can help Arsenal grind out result at unfavourable Stamford Bridge. The Chile forward was very lively in the Watford game where Arsenal lost 1-2 at home to the misery of the club and the Arsenal faithful.

His performance in the game along with Alex Iwobi was a kind of positivity for Arsenal in the game ahead of this (Chelsea) fixtures.

The forward have been driving Arsenal all through the season with some brilliant individual showing on the Arsenal shirt as he made great impact to help Arsenal beat Burnley at the Emirates Stadium 2-1.

This game presents the forward with the chance to prove a point possibly that Arsenal is not yet out of the title race with a spirited showing once again at Stamford Brigde.

DAVID LUIZ

The Brazilian will be/have a great presence at Chelsea backline where the trio of Cesar Azipilicueta, David Luiz (mainly) and Gary Cahill will line up at the back to curb the Gunners attacking threat.

The ability of the defender to withstand pressure is what makes him a top class player and a delight to watch.

He carries Chelsea’s major hope at the back going into the Arsenal game. With his superb showing against Liverpool where he scored an intelligent and inventive free-kick. Expect the defender to prove more than enough as regards to Chelsea’s good/positivity going into the London game at Stamford Bridge .
