Frimpong – I Can Play For Other Clubs
Arsenal’s midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong hinted that he might be in for a loan move saying that Coquelin, Chamberlain and himself can play anywhere if they can play for Arsenal and that the performance they had last night was not exclusively negative.
“It was a great atmosphere and it was lovely to be involved,” he told Arsenal. com
“If the likes of me, Francis [Coquelin] and Alex [Oxlade-Chamberlain] can show we can play here, we can plan anywhere. I know we lost the game but we have to take positives from it. “
“People that haven’t been getting a lot of games this season have been getting them.”
“It was a tough game,” he added. “To be fair to Olympiacos I thought they played really well. “
“We started off a bit slow, got into the game a bit but it was a bit too late before the half ended. We showed great character to get a goal back and it’s a shame we conceded in the last minute.”
Frimpong has been linked with a possible switch in January given interest from Wolverhampton for a possible loan move until the summer. The midfielder could use the experience weekly Premiership games would bring him so that cannot be something negative if the move will go through.
On balance it’s probably wise to loan him out in January when Jack returns although he certainly can offer the squad somthing if he stays. If he is a first team starter at another Premiership club and even helps them to take points off our rivals it could be very beneficial. You’d obviosuly put in a clause that prevented him from playing against Arsenal.
