Good news are coming today from Arsenal with manager Arsene Wenger speaking about Wilshere’s injury status. The young central midfielder is progressing and as it seems he should be back in action around February

“He had a very important scan on Thursday and that was very, very good, exceptionally good.

“The news we have for Jack is very positive. No [he will not be back sooner], we will respect the delays. I count maybe mid-February for Jack.”

A small piece of bad news is that full-back Darren Gibbs won’t be available for the City match and will still need some time to recuperate.

“Gibbs is one week maximum away. He could be present at Aston Villa or the game after (against Wolves). Of course, you want him back and to play.”

Wilshere has been out of action for quite some time now and he must be back as soon as possible if he doesn’t want to miss out on all the season. If he will be able to bounce back in form he might even be a vital part of England’s EURO 2012 team.
