Arsenal have apparently agreed a deal for Gonzalo Higuain finally and he will be a great player for the club but here are a few more players that can take the club to the level of Manchester United, City and Chelsea if they were to join Arsenal this summer.

Julio Cesar
It is no secret that Cesar has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal this summer because he is definitely leaving QPR but he is going to stay in London. Fulham have a new goalkeeper so they’re out. Chelsea have two world class keepers. Tottenham have one world class keeper and an ageing but still quality keeper. West Ham have signed a new keeper. The only club I can think of who are left is Crystal Palace and no offence to them but I don’t think Cesar will make the same mistake two years in a row. Cesar can help Wojciech Szczesny develop into a world class goalkeeper and Cesar could be rotated with Szczesny to share the burden of an Arsenal Goalkeeper.

Micah Richards
He may have been injured for the majority of last season and kept out of the Manchester City squad by Pablo Zabaleta but he has the potential to be a world class right back and his potential has been hindered since City got their new owners. He has been a first team player since he was 18 years old and he can revive his career and replace Bacary Sagna as Arsenal’s right back. With regular game time at Arsenal he can become the best right back in the world.

Adil Rami
Rami is another one who has been linked with Arsenal this summer and he has also been linked with us in the past. At Valencia he has matured into a world class centre back and has formed a top class partnership with Phillipe Mexes in the French national side. Rami also plays regularly with Laurent Koscielny and I believe with them two as the club’s centre backs next season, the club will have defensive solidity that hasn’t been seen since the 90’s.

Victor Wanyama
Another defensive player who is definitely needed. The club has had a weakness in defensive midfield since Alex song left and Victor Wanyama has shown that he is a formidable player at Celtic and can be the man to properly replace Alex song. He may even do a better job than song ever did so may be the delayed replacement for Patrick Vieira.

I believe as long as Higuain is in the bag, Wenger should turn to these players next and the squad would be pretty much complete for a title challenge next season.

  1. 4 problems with your list
    1. cesar is not as good as people think
    2. Richards has had terrible injury problems
    3. rami will take a season to settle
    4. wanyama is coming from spl, that is like coming from div 1

  2. I disagree sire. Our team is already rock solid. Only Fallaini is needed. Both of them will definitely win More games for us. Truth Be told, Arsenal FC already have a fantastic group of players, no need for an overhaul

  3. Ha ha ha, counting your chickens before they hatch? Let’s not say Higuain is done until it’s officially announced. So far it’s mostly been press speculation about Higuain.
Also I don’t think we need a RB. Apparently Sagna is in talks to extend his contract for a year. Let’s not forget he had some bad injuries to recover from, just like Ramsey. I think instead of getting a RB we need a striker (obviously), CB (for cover and resting players), DM, GK, and maybe a wing.
Like BC I’m not so keen on Wanyama. Besides his agent’s silly comments, he comes from the Scottish League, and not to be insulting, but it’s not that tough.
