Injury news gives Arsenal BIG edge over Liverpool

It is usually Arsenal that gets hit with some negative news about a player or two and their injury situations ahead of a big game, so I have no problem in taking pleasure from the fact that our Premier League rivals Liverpool, who we face at Anfield tomorrow evening, are the side in difficulty going into this crucial clash in the fight for a top four finish.

In Jurgen Klopp’s press conference reported by The Mirror the German revealed that both Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge would miss the match and that is good news for the Gunners at both ends of the pitch, Henderson is their captain and mainstay in midfield but he also provides a lot of protection for their shaky defence.

They have some possibly positive news with the centre back Dejan Lovren back in training but the Croatian has had just one session after a month out and I reckon it will be too soon for him. Even if he does make the starting line-up, Arsenal have the boost of getting Welbeck and Giroud back in the squad and either one should keep Lovren more than busy.

While the scousers have lost arguably their best striker we have our best defender Laurent Koscielny back and just for good measure the midfield is boosted by the return to fitness of Aaron Ramsey. The question now is, can Arsenal make these advantages count?
