Is Wrighty right on Wenger? Arsenal manager rumours growing

2

The former Arsenal and England striker Ian Wright commented earlier this week, suggesting that Arsene Wenger had indicated to him that he was maybe ready to call time on his long spell as the manager of Arsenal in the summer caused the question to be put to the Frenchman this weekend after the Gunners bounced back from double defeats with a win over Hull City.

Wenger played down the comments and said that he had said nothing to Wrighty to that effect, but the former Gunner stood by his words and said that was the impression he got from the boss. We will have to wait and see, of course, but is it just a coincidence that the last week or so has seen a number of different managers linked with the job in various Arsenal transfer rumours?

The Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri is one and there have been other reports about Dortmund’s Thomas Tuchel and others including the former Liverpool, Chelsea and Real Madrid coach Rafa Benitez, although there is as much chance of him arriving as there is of me winning a Jackpot on my phone at the moment! Other than Tuchel, other favourites in the betting are Massimo Allegri and Eddie Howe, and there has even been talk about Thierry Henry becoming our saviour.

Could this mean that the board are aware that Wenger is thinking of giving up and are quickly trying to find the right replacement?

If so, who do you think is the right man and who will the club appoint?
