Jack Wilshere picks on Tottenham’s fans

Arsenal’s injured midfielder Jack Wilshere seems so bored about not being able to play and give Wenger a helping hand that he started to pick on Tottenham’s fans on Twitter. The 19-year-old placed a £3000 bet with Spurs’ supporters that Arsenal will finish above the White Hart Lane side.

“All Spurs fans buzzing that they are ahead of us in the league (for once). It’s a marathon, not a sprint!”, said Wilshere

“I tell you what at the end of the season if Spurs finish above Arsenal I will give £3000 to charity.”

“If Arsenal finish above Spurs every Spurs fan that follows me must send me a pound each and I will give it to @Jack_Marshall_ charity!”

“Do we have a deal THFC fans!?”

I think that what Wilshere really needs is not a bet with some other team’s fans, but something that can keep him busy and away from Twitter for a while. Sure, Arsenal has big odds of finishing on top of Spurs this season but that’s not the point. Why should Jack care about all that and why should he counter Tottenham’s fans like that? They know they won’t be above the Gunners in the league anyhow, so why bother I ask?

  1. Let Jack be! His willingness to bet away #3,000 is a sign that he has confidence in the team and that he will work hard when he gets back. I am eager to see you come back to action so you can eclipse the Mario Goetz and M’villas of this world.

  2. 3000 isn’t much for Wilshere! Still, when he’s just bantering, who cares? Anything going to charity is good. When he spits in a person’s face because the guy is wearing a Spurs cap, I think honest Arsenal fans would admit that is disgusting and inexcusable.
