Man City win proves the need for Arsenal to BEAT Liverpool

1

Last season and even early on this season, the Arsenal fans would have been more than happy to come away from an away game with a big Premier League rival without a defeat to chew on. And after last season’s humiliating 5-1 drubbing at Anfield, we would have been even happier not to lose to Liverpool.

But a draw is simply not good enough for the Gunners tomorrow and the fact that Man City have just beaten Crystal Palace to increase the gap between them and Arsenal to 13 points just highlights that fact. I expect Louis van Gaal and his Manchester United team to go home with all three points from his trip to a depleted Aston Villa as well, although Benteke and Agbonlahor will hopefully do us a big favour and get past De Gea in the United goal.

But Arsenal must close the gap to City and Chelsea to 10 points by beating Liverpool tomorrow and that could work in our favour, by making Wenger send his team out with the intention to take the game to what will be a nervous home side. And maybe a win for us will help to pit pressure on Chelsea ahead of their tough away game with Stoke as well.

  1. Ninety nine. A draw won’t be enough to us to keep and uprising our momentum to comeback into top flight position. It’s time to payback that 1-5 debt. Lets kick that no good red ass back into prem history book chapter 1980-1990. COYG!!!
