At least one of the Arsenal transfer targets rumoured to be on the list of Arsene Wenger for this summer appears top have delivered an early snub to the Frenchman, as the Daily Mail is reporting that the Borussia Dortmund and Germany international star Ilkay Gundogan has chosen a transfer to our Premier League rivals Manchester United instead.

Gundogan is a talented central midfielder and the versatility that allows him to play deep, advanced or on the flanks would have made him a typical Wenger signing for Arsenal, especially at the bargain price being quoted of around £20 million.

So if this is true, which player or players should the Frenchman now be looking at to strengthen the Arsenal squad and give us the tools to make sure it is the Gunners, not Chelsea, United or Man City that will be crowned BPL champions next year?
