Arsene Wenger may have upset Arsenal fans once again by announcing that both Laurent Koscielny and Aaron Ramsey won’t return to our depleted squad until next year, but we HAVE got one good bit of injury news for all Gooners.
The Mail has got hold of a picture of Mesut Ozil going out to train with the Arsenal first team, despite trying to hide his face from watching paparazzi. The German was not expected back this quickly since Arsene Wenger said a few weeks ago: “Ozil is doing well but he will not be ready before the start of 2015.”
Now it seems that he is recovering much quicker than we could have hoped, and with Ramsey set to miss the busy Christmas schedule it would be a great boost if Ozil could slot into his position in the next couple of weeks. There was much criticism of the expensive German’s performances up until we found out he had been carrying an injury since the start of the season, but a fully rested and recovered Ozil could be an excellent asset as Arsenal make a concerted effort to close up on Chelsea and Man City in the next couple of months.
Koscielny is a great loss to the defence, but if Wenger brings in a another top class centre-back early in January then perhaps things will start to look even better. Despite our massive injury list we are only two points behind Fourth place and steadily rising back to where we belong….

Giroud has come back in flying form, and hopefully Ozil will do the same. I just can’t wait to see Ozil feeding sublime balls to Sanchez and Giroud.
I don’t think Ozil will be enough tomake a difference. We need some defenders back much more urgently
Remind me …. what is Ozil’s best position ?
