Brilliant Brazilian offered to Arsenal

The worrying unrest in the Ukraine this year could persuade a lot of players that they would be better off moving to more settled countries this summer, and one of those reported to be looking for a move is the brilliant Brazilian winger Bernard, currently at Shakhtar Donetsk.

According to a report in the Mirror today the speedy 21 year-old has been offered to Arsenal for a reasonable price of just £19 million, which could prove a top bargain if he performs well for Brazil in the World Cup next month, so a deal should be brokered as soon as possible.

Arsenal transfer latest- Ginter, Bernard and Suarez

Over the course of the last two months constant speculation regarding transfers have swirled around Arsenal and at the beginning it was the likes of Fabregas, Rooney and Higuain being linked, while now, although we still have Liverpool striker Luis Suarez on our list, we have seemingly settled for players arguably of less quality and the more typical Arsene Wenger signings.

Yet another Arsenal transfer target going elsewhere

Arsenal have once again fallen at the hands of their transfer targets, with this time losing out on more recently known transfer target, Bernard. Bernard, who plays for Athletico Mineiro in Brazil, is also a Brazilian international midfielder who performed magnificently at this summer’s Confederations Cup. As a result he got some outstanding reviews from the pundits and players alike, and his talent was quickly picked up on from clubs across Europe.

Arsenal have 5 days to get Fellaini for £22m – Will Wenger strike?

It seems as though Arsenal’s slow transfer window has drastically picked up over the last few days. The Metro are now reporting that Arsenal (and Manchester United!) have been given until August 1st to activate a release clause in Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini’s contract or watch his valuation rise to a very big amount.

According to the report, the Belgian international has a clause in his contract which says that if a Champions League club come in with an offer of £22 million, he will be allowed to leave. However, it is understood that the clause is valid only till the last day of this month, leaving Arsenal, United and any other possible suitors with seven days to snap up the player for a bargain price.

Arsenal close in on Brazilian transfer target Bernard

Over the last few days, Arsenal have been linked with a move for newly found Brazilian youngster Bernard, who plays his trade in his homeland of Brazil with Atletico Mineiro. Until recently, Bernard wasn’t really known by many in Europe, but his excellent performances at this summer’s Confederations Cup, earnt him many plaudits and ultimately he has gathered interest across Europe.

Arsenal may already have sealed deal for Bernard

According to a Brazilian website, Arsenal have completed the signing of Atletico Mineiro midfielder Bernard. The website, O Tempo, also claims that negotiations between the Gunners and the Brazilian club were concluded on the 15th of July.

The report goes on to say that the president of Atletico Mineiro, Alexandre Kalil, has admitted that it will be extremely difficult to keep hold of the talented playmaker and that a move to Europe might very well be on the cards.

The infamous French newspaper, L’Equipe had also reported that Arsenal had agreed a £21 million fee for the little Brazilian, claiming that he will travel to the English capital on Thursday, with his medical scheduled for Friday.

Brazilian star coy on Arsenal transfer but Spurs could outbid Gunners

The rumours and reports about the 20-year old Brazilian star Bernard signing for Arsenal have been gathering pace over the last few days, but the player himself has refused to confirm or deny them. His words will not stop the speculation, though. Arsene Wenger did issue an outright denial, but nobody seems to have believed the Frenchman, as he does have previous form for deceiving us over Arsenal transfers.

Bernard is a highly thought of left sided attacking player, and he has been linked with a number of clubs around Europe, including Liverpool and Tottenham. The Champions League runners up Borussia Dortmund were also thought to be very keen, and they need to replace Mario Gotze.
