Man United aiming to hijack Arsenal’s top target

Manchester United are reportedly claimed to be keen on signing Borussia Dortmund’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who Arsenal have been linked with since the end of the season.

The midfielder has been hugely impressive in the last 12 months, scoring 23 competitive goals and assisting 30 more.

He has since refused to sign a new contract with Dortmund, and is firmly expected to leave the club this summer, with his club believed to be ready to listen to offers.

Arsenal and Chelsea were previously said to be battling it out for his signature, but now it is Manchester United who are claimed to be making their own move to sign the goalscorer.

Jose Mourinho has already moved to agree a deal to sign Eric Bailly from Villareal this month, and is readily expected to bring in a number of other stars in the close-season.

The Portuguese boss will prove strong in the transfer market, but should we match their offer, the fact that we have Champions League football and they don’t will hopefully prove vital.

United only managed to finish in fifth place in the Premier League under Louis Van Gaal, and will only have Europa League football to offer the Armenian, but they are known to be more willing to splash the cash on wages and fees than we have been previously.

Arsene Wenger is into the last year of his contract, and is thought to be stepping up his game in the current transfer window, and it would be a huge statement if he was able to beat the Red Devils to sign Mkhitaryan.

Could we persuade the Dortmund star to snub Man United?

Arsenal target Aubameyang set for BIG money Man United transfer?

This pacy and prolific striker was one of the players that Arsenal were most heavily linked with in the run up to and during the January transfer. And the Gabon international star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the man that the Arsenal fans hoped would join the club to give us the extra fire power to boost our challenge for the Premier League title.

Instead the player stayed with his current club Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga where they currently sit in second place. The chances of them making up the eight point gap to leaders Bayern Munich are pretty long though and even though Dortmund look sure to be in the Champions League, the smart money says that they will struggle to hold on to all of their top players.

With an amazing record of 29 goals from 28 starts and two sub appearances this season, Aubameyang is certainly one of them but according to Metro the Arsenal fans need not get our hopes up because our big spending Premier League rivals Manchester United are ready to pounce with a massive transfer bid.

If this move is primarily agreed by money then the Gunners are bound to miss out, but if we can keep going and lift the Premier League trophy in May and if United fail to secure a place in the UCL for next year then do we still have a chance to sign the brilliant striker?

best dating app danmark

At least one of the Arsenal transfer targets rumoured to be on the list of Arsene Wenger for this summer appears top have delivered an early snub to the Frenchman, as the best dating app in philippines is reporting that the Borussia Dortmund and Germany international star Ilkay Gundogan has chosen a transfer to our Premier League rivals Manchester United instead.

Gundogan is a talented central midfielder and the versatility that allows him to play deep, advanced or on the flanks would have made him a typical Wenger signing for Arsenal, especially at the bargain price being quoted of around £20 million.

So if this is true, which player or players should the Frenchman now be looking at to strengthen the Arsenal squad and give us the tools to make sure it is the Gunners, not Chelsea, United or Man City that will be crowned BPL champions next year?

Arsenal set to SEAL DEAL for Gundogan transfer!!

Get ready to be happy Arsenal fans! At least if the latest Arsenal transfer rumours about our search for a central midfielder to add the steel to the Gunners creative but somewhat lightweight midfield are true that is.

Because the Metro and other media outlets are reporting that Arsenal are on the verge of completing the transfer of the Borussia Dortmund and Germany star Ilkay Gundogan. The report says that officials of the two clubs are due to thrash out the details of the 24-year old’s move from the Bundesliga to the Premier League this week.

Arsene Wenger has apparently decided that Gundogan is the player to complete our midfield and help us finish the season strongly, even though he will be cup-tied for the crucial Champions League games after playing for Dortmund. And the Frenchman has apparently made an offer of £15.6 million for Gundogan, who seems to have refused all offers of an extension to his current contract with the German club.

If they get their fingers out, perhaps Gundogan could even be available for the EPL game away to Man City on Sunday. Wouldn’t that be a timely boost for Arsenal?

Arsenal get Green Light to go for Gundogan transfer

Whether or not the Arsenal fans would be happy with this transfer move or not is a matter of some debate, with many of us hoping that Arsene Wenger signs a proper defensive midfielder in the mould of Patrick Vieira or Gilberto Silva.

But if the Arsenal boss wants to bring in another all-round central midfielder more along the lines of Mikel Arteta, he could do a lot worse than the Borussia Dortmund and Germany international star Ilkay Gundogan. The 24-year old was born in the same German town as our own Mesut Ozil and is also of Turkish descent. And like Ozil, Gundogan is renowned for his great technical ability and vision, although his work rate and tackling are also key parts of his game.

And perhaps the biggest thing going for Gundogan and a possible transfer to Arsenal, according to a Daily Express report, is his availability. The paper claims that his Bundesliga club are ready to sell after Gundogan made it clear that we would not be signing an extension to his current contract.

And the player himself has let it be known that he would welcome a move to the Premier League, as long as it was to one of the clubs like Arsenal that are likely to be competing for a trophy or two and likely to be in the Champions League.

He said, “Playing outside Germany is one of my big goals.

“If one day I leave here, I’d like to play in Spain or for one of the big teams in England.”

Would you like Wenger to make Gundogan a new Arsenal player this month?

Arsenal set for titanic transfer battle with German giants?

There have been a lot of Arsenal transfer rumours recently that have linked Arsene Wenger with a stunning transfer bid for the young Argentinean striker Paulo Dybala. The 21-year old has been in such explosive form in Italy’s Serie A this season that he has been favourably compared to his compatriot Sergio Aguero.

But it was also reported that he was unlikely to complete the transfer from his current club Palermo to Arsenal until the end of the season. With all the attacking options at Wenger’s disposal and the injury situation leaving the Gunners stretched in central midfield and defence, a striker was hardly the priority in January.

But now that Borussia Dortmund have entered the frame, according to a Metro report, and are already in talks over a possible bid to take Dybala to the Bundesliga, Arsenal may have to firm up our interest and move fast to challenge the German giants.

Will Arsenal beating Newcastle make Stoke loss just a `BLIP`?

Arsene Wenger has been in the news a lot this week after the Frenchman got a public volley of abuse from some Arsenal fans as he went to board a train to come back to London after our dismal defeat at the hands of our perennial tormentors Stoke City last weekend.

And the manager has been quite guarded in his responses to that incident, stopping short of calling some of his own fans blithering idiots who know bugger all about football management, although I suspect that is what he really thinks.

So ahead of the Premier League clash with Newcastle United today, whose own manager Alan Pardew must have had some x-rated thoughts about his own fans earlier this season, Wenger has reminded us that the Gunners have been doing fairly well recently, with four wins out of the last five games.

So I suppose it is fair enough for the boss to say that a win over Newcastle today, especially after they did us a big favour by beating Chelsea last weekend and ensured that Jose Mourinho would not be matching Wenger and Arsenal’s invincible season (with some comedy moaning about the ball boys thrown in for good measure, would mean that last week was just a blot on the landscape.

Wenger told Arsenal Player, “We have a good dynamic in our team, we won four of our last five games. We had one blip against Stoke but overall I think we are on a good trend.”

He also pointed out that our Champions League campaign was largely successful even though we finished second to Borussia Dortmund. It seems that the manager thinks we are too picky. Do you agree?

Why Arsenal season could be DESTROYED in three days!

That is three games in a row now that Arsenal should have won and didn’t. After getting out of jail in the last few minutes away to Anderlecht and then beating Burnley and Sunderland without conceding a goal, the Gunners seemed to be finally putting a run together, but that is long forgotten now and the run is of quite a different sort.

Unless we do something about it very quickly and up our game significantly, there is a good chance that Arsenal could be cut adrift from the teams chasing the top four Premier League spots. Liverpool and Tottenham are both yet to play and will go level on points with us if they win.

There is still plenty of time and plenty of points to play for, but we seem to be going backwards rather than improving, so we cannot afford to get many more results like the one against United. A trip to West Brom next weekend should offer a great chance for the Gunners to bounce back and get the season back on track, but in order to go into the game with some sort of confidence, it is hugely important that we get something out of our midweek game.

Borussia Dortmund will be the visitors to the Emirates, with the German’s needing one point from their last two games to top the group, while Arsenal know that a draw on Wednesday will see us through in second place. And that would give the club a boost and some breathing space for the last game away to Galatasaray.

But if we lose, which looks a very real possibility, it could leave us in danger of failing to reach the next round for the first time in over a decade. And it would leave us with very low morale to take to the Hawthorns, which is why the game in three days time is so vital and could destroy the whole season.

Arsenal given MASSIVE blow on Hummels transfer hopes

Knowing the way that Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal board do their transfer business, the news today reported by the Daily Express is almost as good as Borussia Dortmund saying that Mats Hummels is not for sale.

Because the paper claims that the Dortmund and Germany centre back will cost any club wanting to sign him in the January transfer window, a staggering and eye watering transfer fee of £48 million. That would not make Hummels the most expensive defender transfer in football history, with PSG having paid Chelsea a ridiculous £50 million for David Luiz, but it would break the Gunners transfer record.

And while Wenger may be willing to pay over £40 million for a creative player like Mesut Ozil, I cannot seeing the Prof paying anything like that for a defender, especially after the latest Arsenal transfer rumours suggested that he would only have £20m to spend in January.

So Arsenal had better send the scouting team out on their travels again, but who would you like to see Arsenal bring in to bolster the defence?

Will this £32m transfer be enough to save Arsenal’s season?

It is being reported that Arsene Wenger really has taken to heart the way that Arsenal have struggled so far this season, especially in the area of defence. And the Frenchman has already admitted that he should have signed another defender in the summer and is planning to rectify that mistake in January.

According to a Metro report, Wenger is so serious about fixing the defensive issues, that he is determined to sign one of the best defenders in the world to do so, rather than just bring in another option to perhaps cover in case one of the current first choice pairing of Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker.

And with his top transfer target being the Germany and Borussia Dortmund star Mats Hummels, it is not going to be cheap, which is why the Gunners are apparently preparing a massive offer of over £31 million for the talented 25-year old, who is currently carrying a minor injury and will miss the two Germany games with Gibraltar and Spain.

But if this, admittedly impressive, transfer is the only one Arsenal makes in January, will it be enough to rescue what is looking like a damp squib of a season?
